Weekly Reflections from the Yoga Your Season Calendar
Autumn • October • Week 1
Theme: Acknowledgement
Intention: I acknowledge what is true.
Mantra: “I face what is real”
October 1-4, 2026
Welcome
Hello again.
A new month begins — and with it, another small shift in the rhythm of Autumn.
September invited us to slow down enough to see more clearly.
To notice.
To listen.
To recognize what is present without immediately needing to change it.
October begins to move us one step further.
From seeing what is true — towards beginning to live in relationship with it.
But not all at once.
These first four days of October form a short threshold week in The Calendar.
A moment simply to acknowledge what we already know.
Where We Are in the Calendar
We are now in the second month of Autumn — the final season of this Fröja Yoga Calendar year.
Summer carried us outward, into expression and visibility.
Autumn has begun the return.
Not yet into the deep stillness of Winter, but into a season of refinement — where we begin to look more honestly at what our outward movement has revealed.
September was about Clarity.
October moves into Truth.
And across the coming weeks, that truth will gradually ask more of us: boundaries, action, refinement and eventually release.
But this week comes before all of that.
Before we decide what to do, we acknowledge what is already there.
Theme of the Week
Acknowledgement
Acknowledgement can seem almost too simple.
Surely seeing something is the same as acknowledging it?
Perhaps not always.
We can see something clearly and still turn away from it.
A feeling we keep dismissing.
A situation we know is taking too much energy.
Something that no longer feels right.
Or perhaps something we want — but have not quite allowed ourselves to admit.
Acknowledgement asks for very little action.
It simply asks us to stop pretending we don't know.
There is something quietly powerful in that.
We do not have to solve it.
We do not have to explain it.
We can simply allow what is true to be true.
Weekly Intention
I acknowledge what is true
Perhaps this week is an invitation to notice where you already know.
Not what you should know.
Not what someone else thinks is right.
But what has become increasingly difficult not to see.
There may be something that needs to change.
There may also be something that needs to stay.
Something worth protecting.
Something you want more of.
Acknowledgement works in both directions.
It helps us recognise what no longer feels aligned — but also what does.
And sometimes that recognition is enough for now.
Weekly Mantra
“I face what is real.”
There is strength in meeting reality without immediately trying to control it.
To stand still for a moment and see what is here.
Perhaps this mantra can simply be a reminder:
I don't have to have the answer yet.
I only have to be willing to see.
Gentle Practice
If you want, find a quiet moment sometime this week.
Sit or stand comfortably.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Take a few slow breaths, allowing the exhale to be slightly longer than the inhale.
Then ask yourself:
What is clearly true right now?
Don't search too hard for an answer.
Notice what comes.
A thought.
A feeling.
A physical response.
Or perhaps nothing at all.
There is no need to do anything with what you notice.
For now, simply let yourself acknowledge it.
Closing
October will take us further into truth.
There will be time for boundaries.
For choices.
For action.
For letting go of what no longer belongs.
But we don't need to begin there.
These first few days offer something quieter.
A chance to see what is already here.
To acknowledge what we already know.
And perhaps to trust that the next step will become clearer from there.
Until next week,
Anna
