Weekly Reflections from the Yoga Your Season Calendar

Autumn • October • Week 2

Theme: Boundaries

Intention: I create space for what is true

Mantra: “I honor my limits.”

October 5-11, 2026

Welcome

Hello again.

Last week, October began quietly.

We entered the month with Acknowledgement — simply allowing ourselves to see and recognise what is already true.

Without needing to fix it.

Without immediately deciding what comes next.

This week, that truth begins to take a little more shape.

Because once we acknowledge what is true, we may also begin to notice where something needs to shift.

Where we need more space.

Where something asks for a clearer yes — or perhaps a clearer no.

This week, we begin to explore boundaries.

Where We Are in the Calendar

We are in the second month of Autumn.

September invited us to see more clearly.

October asks us to begin living in greater alignment with what we see.

The movement is gradual.

Acknowledgement comes first.

Then boundaries.

Later this month, we will move towards action and refinement.

There is no need to rush ahead.

For now, we are simply noticing where our energy goes — and whether the way we are using it still feels aligned.

Theme of the Week

Boundaries

The word boundary can sometimes sound hard.

Like a wall.

A line drawn between ourselves and someone else.

But perhaps a boundary can also be understood as something more spacious.

A way of recognising what we have room for — and what we don't.

Where our energy is well placed.

What we want to protect.

What we are willing to carry.

And what may no longer be ours to hold.

Sometimes a boundary is spoken aloud.

Sometimes it is a decision.

Sometimes it is simply becoming more aware of the moments when a yes doesn't really feel like a yes.

The boundary often begins before the words do.

It begins with noticing.

Weekly Intention

I create space for what is true

There is something interesting about creating space.

We often think of it as adding something — more time, more freedom, more room.

But sometimes space is created by removing.

One commitment.

One expectation.

One habit.

One automatic yes.

Perhaps there is something in your life that would have more room to grow if something else took up a little less space.

A relationship.

Your health.

Your creativity.

Your work.

Rest.

Or simply time that belongs to you.

A boundary does not only define what we keep out.

It can also help us protect what we want to let in.

Weekly Mantra

“I honor my limits.”

Our limits are not always fixed.

What we have capacity for today may be different tomorrow.

What felt possible in Summer may feel different as Autumn deepens.

Perhaps honoring our limits is less about creating rigid rules and more about staying in relationship with ourselves.

Listening.

Adjusting.

Recognising when enough is enough.

And trusting that a limit does not make us less capable.

Sometimes it is precisely what allows us to use our energy more wisely.

Gentle Practice

This week, you might simply notice your yes and your no.

Not only the ones you say aloud.

The quieter ones.

Notice when something creates a sense of space.

And when something creates contraction.

Notice where your energy seems to disappear.

And where it feels supported.

If you want, return to one simple question:

Where would a boundary create space for something more aligned?

There is no need to make a dramatic change.

Perhaps noticing the boundary is enough to begin.

Closing

Boundaries are not the end of something.

Often, they are what make something else possible.

More space.

More clarity.

A more honest yes.

October will soon invite us into action.

But before action comes discernment.

Knowing what deserves our energy — and what does not.

This week, perhaps we can simply begin there.

Until next week,
Anna
