Weekly Reflections from the Yoga Your Season Calendar

Autumn • October • Week 4

Theme: Refinement

Intention: I refine what I am creating

Mantra: “I adjust with awareness.”

October 19 - 25, 2026

Welcome

Hello again.

Last week invited us into action.

Not dramatic change, but small, conscious steps towards what we already know to be true.

And once we take a step, something interesting happens.

We learn.

An idea meets reality.

A decision creates a response.

A new boundary changes a relationship.

Something we thought would work may need adjusting.

Something we were unsure about may suddenly feel right.

This week is about paying attention to what happens next.

Where We Are in the Calendar

We are moving through the second half of October — the month of Truth in the Fröja Yoga Calendar.

We began with Acknowledgement.

Then came Boundaries.

Last week brought Action.

Now the Calendar moves into Refinement & Adjustment.

Because alignment is rarely something we get perfectly right the first time.

We try.

We notice.

We adjust.

And gradually, what we are creating becomes more closely aligned with what we know to be true.

Theme of the Week

Refinement

Refinement is different from starting over.

It doesn't ask us to question everything.

It asks us to pay attention.

What is working?

What feels better than it did before?

What has become easier?

And where is there still friction?

Sometimes we respond to friction by assuming we've made the wrong choice.

But perhaps something simply needs adjusting.

A little more space.

A clearer boundary.

A different rhythm.

Less of something.

More of something else.

Refinement allows us to stay with the direction while remaining open to what we learn along the way.

Weekly Intention

I refine what I am creating

We are always creating something.

A way of working.

A relationship.

A home.

A business.

A daily rhythm.

A life.

And none of these things remain exactly the same.

They evolve as we do.

Perhaps refinement begins when we stop expecting ourselves to have everything figured out.

Instead, we can become curious about what is actually happening.

What is supporting me?

What is taking more energy than it needs to?

What could be simpler?

Small adjustments can sometimes change much more than we expect.

Weekly Mantra

“I adjust with awareness.”

Adjustment doesn't have to mean uncertainty.

It can be a sign that we are paying attention.

That we are willing to respond to what we learn rather than rigidly holding on to how we thought something should be.

Perhaps this week the invitation is simply to notice before changing.

To see what is working.

To recognise what isn't.

And then adjust with intention.

Gentle Practice

Take a moment sometime this week to think about something you have recently changed, begun or decided.

It can be something significant or very small.

Then ask yourself:

What is working?

What needs adjusting?

What could be simplified?

Try not to turn the answers into another long list of things to do.

Choose one adjustment.

Something small enough to try.

Then give it some space and see what happens.

Closing

There is wisdom in allowing ourselves to adjust.

Not every change means beginning again.

Not every difficulty means we chose the wrong direction.

Sometimes we simply need to listen to what our choices are showing us.

To refine.

To simplify.

To recalibrate.

And then continue.

Next week, October will begin to close.

The Calendar will invite us to pause again — not to make another change, but to let the changes we've already made settle and become part of us.

For now, perhaps it is enough to ask:

What is working — and what could be adjusted?

Until next week,
Anna
