Weekly Reflections from the Yoga Your Season Calendar

Summer • June • Week 3

Theme: Expression

Intention: I allow myself to be fully expressed.

Mantra: I show up fully.

June 15–21, 2026

Welcome to a new week.

Over the past weeks, energy has been building.

What began as movement has gradually become momentum. Ideas have started taking shape. Conversations have opened new doors. The longer days have invited us outside, into connection, creativity, and action.

And now we arrive at the heart of June.

A week centered around expression.

Not performance.

Not proving.

Not becoming more.

But allowing more of who we already are to be seen.

Where We Are in the Calendar

We continue to move within the Year of the Fire Horse.

A year that invites courage, movement, visibility, and authentic expression.

The Fire Horse asks us not to rush ahead, but to move in alignment with what feels true. It reminds us that energy is most powerful when it comes from clarity rather than force.

We are also deep within Summer — the season of expression.

Nature is no longer preparing.

It is expressing.

The trees are full.

The flowers are blooming.

Life is visible.

And perhaps that is Summer's invitation to us as well.

To stop hiding.

To stop waiting.

To allow ourselves to take up space in our own lives.

This week also brings Midsummer and the Summer Solstice — the longest days and lightest nights of the year.

A moment that has been celebrated across Northern Europe for generations.

A moment to pause and notice the fullness of life before the wheel slowly begins its turn toward a new season.

Theme of the Week

Expression

Many of us associate expression with being louder, doing more, or standing out.

But true expression is often much quieter than that.

It is allowing your inner world to be reflected in the way you live.

It is speaking honestly.

Making choices that feel aligned.

Trusting your voice.

Following what feels true rather than what is expected.

Expression is not performance.

Expression is authenticity in motion.

This week invites us to notice:

Where am I already expressing myself freely?

And where am I still holding something back?

Not because anything needs fixing.

But because awareness creates choice.

Weekly Intention

I allow myself to be fully expressed.

Rather than asking what more you need to become, consider what part of yourself is already ready to be seen.

What happens when you stop editing yourself quite so much?

What becomes possible when you allow yourself to show up more fully?

Weekly Mantra

I show up fully.

A simple mantra.

And perhaps a courageous one.

Not perfectly.

Not fearlessly.

But fully.

One conversation.

One choice.

One day at a time.

Gentle Practice

Choose one area of your life this week where you intentionally soften the need to perform.

Notice where you can simply be yourself.

Perhaps it is in a conversation.

A creative project.

A relationship.

Or simply in how you spend your time.

Observe what changes when authenticity becomes more important than perfection.

A Personal Reflection

This is one of my favorite times of the entire year.

Perhaps because it is during Midsummer that I feel most deeply appreciative of this part of the world and the rhythms that have shaped life here for generations.

There is something about the Nordic summer that is difficult to describe unless you have experienced it.

The light seems endless.

The evenings stretch on.

The air is soft.

The gardens and nature are overflowing.

Everything feels alive.

A very precious time to be here in Sweden.

To walk through landscapes bursting with green.

To gather with family and friends.

To share food, laughter, and traditions that reach far back into our history.

And perhaps that is one reason Midsummer has remained such an important celebration.

It reminds us to pause.

To notice.

To appreciate.

To honour the light while it is here.

Nature is expressing itself fully right now.

Nothing is holding back.

Nothing is apologising for its bloom.

Perhaps that is the invitation for us this week too.

To show up fully.

Not as someone else.

But as ourselves.

Thank you for sharing this season with me.

Enjoy your Midsummer wherever you are.

Until next week,

Anna
